Comienza un nuevo curso

Vamos a empezar este nuevo curso con un juego muy musical. Consiste en adivinar el nombre de las notas que van apareciendo, pero ¡cuidado! no dejes que la nota llegue al principio del pentagrama.
No te preocupes si al principio no consigues muchos puntos, ya verás como practicando lo harás cada vez mejor.

Bienvenidos al curso 2015-2016

FUDGE

Ingredients:

200 g ice sugar,

2 spoonfuls of vanilla,

white marshmallows.

First, I prepared the ingredients.

Then I made ice sugar using the mixer.

Next, I cut the marshmallows in half and put the marshmallows and the 2 spoonfuls of vanilla in the saucepan at a low heat. When it was melted, I mixed it with the ice sugar.

After that, I put the mixture in the mould and the mould in the fridge. After 1 hour, I cut the mixture into dice and put the fudge in the fridge again other 2 hours.

To finish with, I wrapped them in plastic.

Pancakes recipe

-pancakes for 20 people-

Ingredients:

-200g flour

-2 eggs

-400ml milk

Steps:

First I sieved the flour. 

Then, I put the flour, the milk and the eggs in a recipient. After that, I mixed it all with a spoon. 

Later on, I poured the oil in a bowl and with a paper I spread the oil in a frying pan. Finally, I spread some dough in the frying pan and fried the pancakes on both sides.

STRAWBERRIES WITH CHOCOLATE.

Ingredients:

-strawberries

-chocolate

-some water

Steps:

First, I washed the strawberries. Next, I put the chocolate in a cup and added some water, then I heated the mixture in the microwave oven. After that, I dipped the strawberries in the chocolate and I put the strawberries in a tray. Then, I put the tray in the fridge. And after some time, the strawberries were finished and I ate them.

We have been studying magnetism and we have discovered that norhtern lights have a lot to do with this. But why do the norhtern lights happen? Well, as we have discovered, there is a solar wind. These winds send charged particles into space that travel at a very high speed and collide against the magnetosphere.
But sometimes the solar winds are very violent and explosions occur in the Sun (solar flares). It is with the solar flares when we see the norhtern lights, as these charged particles from the Sun collide with the gas atoms in the atmosphere. Each gas creates a different colour.

It's a rocket house. It's made of gold. It's in space. It has got a hoover where to pee. It has got five laser
beams. It has got seven windows.

During the first term, the children in years 3, 5, and 6 have been working on dinosaurs and have learnt lots of things. They have learnt so much, that they could become  paleontologists. According to the fossils they could find, they are able to reach a conclusion. Here is a prove of it!

'This dinosaur is a plant-eater because the coprolite has rests of a plant, the teeth are from a plant-eater because they are square, and the egg is round. The toothmarks on the feet and the claws under the earth indicate that a carnivorous dinosaur attacked him.The dinosaur had a shell, so it is ornithiscia,  more especifically a Thyreophora.'

'The tooth indicates  that  this  dinosaur  is a meat-eater because  it  has a  sharp  tooth. The dinosaur  left  foot prints  and  they  indicate  that  this  dinosaur  had  2  legs and  3  fingers  so it is  a  theropod . I  found  the skeleton of the  dinosaur  and  it  is  a  lizard  hipped   dinosaur  so  it  is  classified as  saurischia . The coprolaite  intains  traces  of  meat  this  indicates  that  this  dinosaur  is meat-eater  and  I  found  the  eggs  of  the  dinosaur;  this  indicates  that  this  dinosaur  was  a  famele , the size  of  the  egg  is  big  and  it  is  oval  this  indicates  the  size  of  the  dinosaur  is  big and  meat-eater.'

Animals

Its  name is  eel. It  is  invertebrate  and  reptile. It  reproduces  laying  eggs. The  size  of  the  eels  is  average and its  colour  is green. The  eel  has  got  scales,  and  hasn ´ t  got , arms  or  wings . It is  carnivorous  and  it  can  swim.

EL AMAGÜESTU 2012

El viernes día 16 de noviembre celebramos el Amagüestu en el Colegio Público de Caravia Juan Vigón.
Hicimos los siguientes  juegos populares: soga-tira, el pañuelo, carrera de panoyas y carrera de sacos.
Al final de los juegos, comimos castañas,tortilla,rosquillas y bebimos sidra dulce. Después de eso, tuvimos un rato para jugar libremente hasta que llegó el autobús a recogernos para regresar a Lastres.

Titanic's Anniversary

In April 2012, we celebrated the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic.
At school, we decided it was a good idea to get dressed as the Titanic and all the characters in the film to participate in the Carnival Parade organised in the town.

Do you want to know how we did the Titanic?

1)      We drew a picture of the Titanic in a cardboard box (we used the PDI box).

2)      We decided on the distance between the windows and we drew circles with a pair of compasses to represent them.

3)      We cut the cardboard box into the shape of the Titanic (following the shape traced).

4)      We glued both sides of the Titanic.

5)      We painted the Titanic.

6)      We drew the windows in blue paper with a pair of compasses, we cut them and we glued them on the Titanic.

7)      We drew rectangle windows with crayons on the upper part of the Titanic.

8)      We glued blue cellophane paper at the bottom to represent the ocean.

9)      We inserted two cardboard bars to carry the Titanic from the inside.

10)   We made two chimney-hats with card.

La gran fiesta de navidad

Este año, decidimos  inventar una obra de teatro para Navidad donde los protagonistas eran personajes de cuentos clásicos. Los alumnos  de infantil  se disfrazaron  de pitufos y superhéroes. Los alumnos de primaria nos disfrazamos de: Caperucita Roja, Pipi Calzaslargas, Dumbo, Kika Superbruja, Jack Sparrow, Rudolph, Campanilla,  Pitufina y Batman.

También participaron los profesores; el profesor de educación física hizo de Papá Pitufo Noel, nuestra tutora se disfrazó de Melchora, la profesora de inglés fue Gaspara y la tutora de infantil fue Baltasara.

First, Infants sang “Burrito sabanero” song.

Then, all the children and teachers acted out the play “Christmas in Lapland”. To finish with, we sang a Christmas carol –Jingle Bells. Here you are the video.

Fiesta de Halloween

First, we decorated the library. We made huge paper maché spiders in Arts and Crafts class.

Para ello, hinchamos dos globos de distintos tamaños, los atamos y luego los cubrimos de tiras de papel que pegábamos con una mezcla de cola y agua. Después de varias capas, las pintamos de negro y las decoramos con objetos reciclados (cápsulas de café, vasitos de yogur, mallas de ajos, tapones de botellas, etc.)

We also made a Halloween costume. We made an eye ball costume with plastic bags, paper and card.

Primero recortamos las mangas y el cuello en una bolsa grande. Luego rellenamos las bolsas pequeñas de papel triturado, las atamos para cerrarlas y les grapamos dos bolsas, una a cada extremo, para poder atarlas a la cintura. Después hicimos el iris con cartulina de color y las pestañas con cartulina negra y lo pegamos en la bolsa grande.

Then, we celebrated a Halloween party on the 28th October.

1)      We dressed up.

2)      We ate spider cookies, bleeding fingers and a cake that the teachers prepared for us, and we drank juice.

3)      We went trick or treat to the teachers’ room.

4)      We did a Halloween show: infants sung ‘Incy Wincy Spicer’, children from Caravia sung ‘The spider in the web’ and primary children acted out ‘Five Little Pumpkins’ with puppets.

5)      We watched the film ‘Winnie the Witch’.

6)      We carved a pumpkin.
